What are you going to do tonight?
Wow! I haven't thought about it! After working, I'm going to go to the super market, I need to buy my cat's food. After that I'm going to go back home and spend some quality time with him. I think he's just gonna sleep on my lap while I am watching TV. It's going to be a relaxing nite.
Hello everyone! Today's topic is Simple Future with Be going to. A topic I really love because it's about the future and having plans. Do you know how to use it? Well...
We use Be going to talk about plans:
~ We are going to spend our vacations in Canada.
~ She is going to work this Saturday.
~ I am going to visit my granny tomorrow.
We use be going to to express a prediction:
~ This summer is going to be hot.
~ That kid is going to be clever guy!
~ It is going to rain on the weekend.
With this tense you need the verb be in its three different forms; am, is, are. We are going to use Am only for personal pronound I. Is for He, She, It and Are for You, We and They. Don't forget that the verb after the structure going to, goes in bare infinitive without any kind of conjugation.
I am going to cooking x_x
I am going to cook :D
She is going to will eat x_x
She is going to eat :D
We are going to ate x_x
We are going to eate :D
But what is the difference between will and be going to? Super easy question, Will for predictions or things that you are NOT sure you will do and Be going is used for things you ARE sure to do. Do you have some doubts still? Don't worry I also have a video for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eallo8vur1o&t=51s
